On June 6th, DSIC held a naming ceremony for the 319,000-Ton Crude Oil Carrier No.77 built for COSCO Shipping Tanker (Dalian) Co., Ltd. Deng Changlian, the leader of DSIC, attended the naming ceremony. Ms. Ruan Zifen, a guest, named the ship “Yuan He Hu”.
“Yuan He Hu” is the first ship of the two series ships newly signed by DSIC and COSCO Shipping Tanker (Dalian) Co., Ltd, and it is also featured with a new generation of competitive brand ship type independently developed by DSIC. The ship has a total length of 333 meters and a width of 60 meters, and a maximum deadweight of 319,000 tons, and it can carry 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Malacca under the designed draft of 20.5 meters, which greatly facilitates the operation of the ship. Its energy-saving features are remarkable. It has the excellent model line equipped with a more energy-saving “G”-type main engine and a new type of large-diameter and efficient propeller, and is equipped with a high-efficiency and energy-saving combination device before and after the propeller with independent property rights. The comprehensive energy-saving effect is obvious, and the oil consumption index of this ship ranks the world leading level after the verification of the well-known model test tank abroad.
