Recently, DSIC and MODEC signed a Strategic Cooperation Statement in Dalian. He Jiwu, vice general of CSSC, Xiangxi Yongji, CEO of MODEC, and Yang Zhizhong, general of DSIC attended the signing ceremony. Yang and Xiangxi signed the statement.

The cooperation between DSIC and MODEC started in 2010 and the total 43 sets of modules and products had been delivered to MODEC by the year of 2016. Based on the good cooperation, MODEC awarded the complete project of FPSO Guanabara MV31 to DSIC, which is the first time to entrust the whole FPSO to one shipyard in the shipbuilding of the world.

In order to deal with the need of new-building FPSO hull from international oil companies, and develop the new-building FPSO market, DSIC and MODEC signed a cooperation and development memo in March 8, 2018, which stated that the two parties will develop a general-purpose FPSO (M350 Type) to be a bidding project of MODEC and DSIC will be in charge of designing and building the hull and accommodation modules. At present, the initial design solution of the FPSO has been finished and can be used for bidding. The two parties are in bidding for several new-building FPSO. The signature of the strategic cooperation statement ensures the tight cooperation between DSIC and MODEC in respect of future new-building and conversion of FPSO and building of topside modules and makes a firm foundation for mutually developing the international FPSO market.
